Berkeley Rep just released images from its hot new Green Day musical American Idiot, playing through November 1 at the California theater. This is a wildly premature statement, but these five shots, the show’s looking pretty awesome. Here’s hoping it rocks out on Broadway by season’s end! Michael Mayer, who won a Tony Award for directing Spring Awakening on Broadway, directs a cast that also includes John Gallagher Jr., Matt Caplan, Michael Esper, Mary Faber, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Christina Sajous and Tony Vincent in featured roles.

I love that 2 guys who have played Moritz are in this show. I really want to see it.
